zomg she did!

My dear sumiko wrote (whine), whatever on Sunday Times today. This time round it was about being a mother in the 40s. Not actually being one but the big 'what-if' she was. Having nieces and nephews over could be the best consolation prize and closest to parenting a single person could get. We all console ourselves don't we. May it be one day or two weeks, we get funneled back into the reality of our lifes.

What struck me was to imagine myself waking up one morning to see sumiko running out of stuff to whine! zomg. She did mention getting 'less broody', due to some biological changes.

This notion was depressing as i ate through my choco HL cornflakes. Its bad enough not to read her columns every sunday already. Not that i enjoy lambasting her life, its a telescopic view into mine. Yes i do want to see her happy, married and have children. Whining is good, its healthy and adds sour lemony flavours to stinky reality.

I already had someone pledging godmothership to my non-existent children last night. Its sometime i never would want in my mid 20s, really.

To my dear friends, please get married and have children.
Veran don't mind parent-prostituting for a day.
